An offline-first app for outdoor groups. You can find a hike nearby, check the trail and elevation before committing, navigate without signal, and keep the group chat in one place. Safety tracking and a three-second SOS sit underneath everything. The trail library runs to 90+ curated Australian routes, 30 of them surveyed on foot.

Four hundred hikes with the wrong tools
I started OZ Outdoors during the 2020 lockdowns. It's now among the top-rated outdoor Meetup groups in Sydney. Planning any group hike meant juggling five apps, and everyone felt the friction. I sent feature requests for a long time before accepting the tools weren't built for what we were doing, and started building the replacement. The people beta-testing TrekMeet today are the same people who kept showing up for the trails.

A snapshot of the build: missions shipped, phase progress, open blockers. An agent regenerates it from the repo after every chore sweep, so it stays honest. I never write it by hand.
The years before
Before the Build
Six years running Soprano Design’s global messaging roadmap, with a Chairman’s Award along the way. Before that: US government healthcare at hCentive, later acquired by Optum, and gig-worker mobile at Swipejobs. That grounding is why a one-person build can ship at this pace.

TrekMeet's Round 2 beta is in the community's hands — Android and iPhone. Behind it sits a CEO dashboard, regenerated by a sequence of agents every time a chore sweep closes, pulled straight from the repo: the backlog, the decisions log, the mission state.
The same system that produced the dashboard produced the app. If the last post showed the app, this one shows the engine behind it.
